Lord Kapiladeva described the process of sankhya-yoga meditation as follows: "After spreading a seat in a secluded and sanctified place, one should sit there in an easy, erect posture and practice breath control. Controlling the breathing will help one concentrate the mind and withdraw the senses from the sense objects. When the mind is perfectly purified by this process, one should concentrate on the tip of the nose with half-closed eyes and see the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead."
